Gaec Etchamendy - Producteur de fromage

8 km from Saint Jean Pied de Port, in the heart of the Basque mountains, the Gaec Etchamendy is located on the road to the Iraty Forest.

We breed manex ewes with red heads and transform the milk from our farm into tomme Ossau Iraty and blue. We invite you to come and discover our profession, our know-how and our passion through guided tours: explanations about the transformation, visit of the maturing cellar and the cheese dairy. A tasting of quality cheese will be proposed at the end of this visit.
